Case

Complete set of data, consisting of model, boundary conditions, meteo data, calculation results, etc. for performing a model run. In the DelftShell term case is not used, data or models are grouped into folders so user can use all data and models in one folder as a case.

Project

A collection of one or more 'cases'. Saving several cases in a project can be useful when a user wants to compare different models.

Run

A run is a computer simulation of a particular 'case'. The results of a run will be stored in the case. In general several runs can be performed on a case. However only the results of the latest run will be saved. Therefore if a new run is performed on a case the old results will be discarded.
