As the Delta Shell framework is still under continuous development while additional models and plugins are implemented, some of its components are being re-factored and documentation is quite limited.
The purpose of this tutorial, though, is to provide a hands-on introduction for developers by demonstrating some of its plugin interfaces (based on the latest version of the Delta Shell framework).
Tutorial outline
After having performed the tutorial you will end up with a simple version of a hydrological model. Altough the model calculates some bogus volume output, it affects all kind of basic aspects, such as:
- Importing time series from WaterML2 files
- Creating a simple model structure
- Customizing model properties
- Showing model data on a map
- Showing model data in a custom view
- Creating a Ribbon button
