Content description
The module aims to introduce the students to the Flood Risk Management cycle (FRM-cycle), Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) and Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), and how these frameworks contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR). When the role of ecosystems and natural processes in risk management is explained, the BwN philosophy follows naturally (Module Introduction BwN). The materials for Module A) Frameworks all fall under Level 1 (introduction to the main concept).
